Welcome to Skip Hire Hackbridge. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By hiring a skip from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.
1. Definitions
- "Company", "We", "Us", or "Our" refers to Skip Hire Hackbridge.
- "Customer", "You", or "Your" refers to the individual or entity using our services.
- "Skip" refers to the waste container provided by us for the collection and disposal of waste.
2. Booking and Payment
To book a skip, you must provide accurate information regarding the size and duration required. Upon confirmation, a deposit may be required. Payment must be made in full before the skip is delivered to your specified location. We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank transfers.
2.1. Deposit
A deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit will be refunded upon the safe return of the skip, provided there is no damage or excessive waste beyond the agreed terms.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Should you need to cancel your booking, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within this period will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the booking cost. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation.
4. Responsibilities of the Customer
- Placement: The skip must be placed on permanently level ground, ensuring stability and safety.
- Access: Ensure there is sufficient space for the skip delivery and collection.
- Usage: Only use the skip for its intended purpose. Hazardous materials, chemicals, and prohibited items are strictly forbidden.
- Load Limits: Do not exceed the weight or volume limits specified for the skip size you have hired.
5. Use of Skips
You agree to use the skip responsibly and comply with all local regulations regarding waste disposal. It is your responsibility to ensure that the contents placed in the skip are legal and do not contain prohibited items.
5.1. Prohibited Waste
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Electrical appliances
- Paints and solvents
- Medicines and chemicals
- Tyres and batteries
6. Liability
Skip Hire Hackbridge is not liable for any damage to property or injury to persons resulting from the use of our skips, except where such damage or injury is caused solely by our negligence or breach of contract.
6.1. Insurance
We maintain comprehensive insurance covering our skips and operational activities. However, it's recommended that you have your own insurance for any potential liabilities arising from the use of our services.
7. Damage and Theft
Customers are responsible for any loss or damage to the skip during the hire period. In the event of theft or difficult access, additional charges may apply to recover the skip.
7.1. Reporting Damage
Any damage to the skip must be reported immediately. Failure to do so may result in charges for repairs or replacement.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate the skip hire agreement if the terms and conditions are breached. In such cases, the skip must be removed immediately, and any outstanding charges must be settled.
9. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in this region.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Skip Hire Hackbridge harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the skip or breach of these terms and conditions.
12. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
13. Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Skip Hire Hackbridge regarding the use of our services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
